Ronen

Um projecto criado por o artista alemão Ronen que bloqueia os sistemas de esgotos da sua cidade (Jena) ao colocar por detrás das grades imagens em tamanho real de trabalhadores imigrantes ou em busca de asilo mostrando os seus papéis burocráticos.

Ronen escreve sobre o seu projecto:
" Os observadores como os guardas/polícias poderão olhar para os papéis explorando a burocracia. Através de diversos exemplos podem aprender sobre diversos estatutos legais de refugiados e imigrantes em Jena ou qualquer outro sítio. A instalação funciona como um museu burocrático de legalização de papeis, o que para algumas pessoas pode ser a diferença entre a vida e a morte. Mas é uma instalação que desaparece com o tempo, chuva, neve, beatas, pastilhas elásticas e lixo da cidade apagam as imagens, como muitas vidas foram apagadas devido as processos de legalização e imigração illegal.

A project by Ronen, an artist living in Germany that jams the sewage systems of his town of Jena by placing behind the bars and grates of the sewage canals, life size images of migrant workers and asylum seekers displaying their papers.


He writes:

"The viewers like the police/border guard will be able to check the papers exploring the bureaucracy. Through different examples they can learn about the different kinds of legal status of refugees and migrants in Jena and elsewhere. The installation functions like a museum of bureaucratic legal papers, which to some people mean the difference between life and death. But the display does not last. Rain and snow, cigarette butts, chewing gum, and the rubbish of the city erases these pictures just like so many people who already have been erased."
