O suicídio é uma das 3 principais causas de morte entre adolescentes. Entre os adolescentes gays os números são assustadores. O It Gets Better Project começou com apenas um vídeo de um casal gay a enviar a seguinte mensagem: a adolescência é a pior fase. Daí pra frente, tudo fica melhor. Hoje, mais de 5 mil vídeos já foram criados a divulgar esta mesma mensagem. Celebridades, de Chris Colfer do Glee ao presidente Barack Obama uniram-se à causa e até empresas como a Pixar, Google e Facebook já deram o seu apoio, mostrando o poder de uma boa causa para mobilizar o user generated content.

The It Gets Better Project started with a gay couple creating a video with the message: this is the worst part of your life, but the good news is it get better when you grow older. The video spread and people started joining in. Today, more than 5 thousand videos have been created with this same message.
